"My Brown Eyes" by Alexander Amador

This was a short narrative about Alexander Amador, a boy who grew up in the a bad part of town. His brother is in jail for marijuana and other crimes. Because he is alone at home with his mom he must care for his poor mom who tries so hard to provide a good life for her son. Alex tells how he relies on some fellow gang members remind him to try to make the most of his life. Alex lives his life with a belief that the world he lives in is full of opportunity.
