Sliding Doors is a movie about a girl named Helen, who upon entering subway station also enters a parallel universe. One action decide the outcome of another. Her alternate self ends up losing her job, and becomes a victim of a cheating boyfriend. The other side leaves her boyfriend and goes to live with her best friend. To complete the alternate universe she gets a shorter haircut and meets a new man who becomes her boyfriend. The movie ends with Helen getting hit by a car and ending up in the hospital. As it turns out, her alternate was also at the hospital and they join back into one. In the end her old boyfriend is out of the picture and her life is opened up.
