The novel, "Love is a Mix Tape, Life and Loss, One song at a Time" is a book about girls life's and it focuses especially what teenagers like and do. Although the book was directed toward females, it still has a message for anyone who picks up the book. There is a story in the book about a a young adult who grew up listening to music and he made a mix tape for his crush. He wasn't a very popular kid and he imagined the mix tape and the songs on his would bring him popularity, and girls. His favorite genre was rock-n-roll and other classic rock. Do to his lack of friends, he relys on his music to keep him happy and positive. Music is his escape.
